Making my Research Accessible
As an evidence-based practitioner, and also a PhD student, I spend a lot of time reading and producing research papers. I recognise that the findings from research studies are not always as accessible as they could be. I am passionate about communicating my research to non-academic audiences, enabling my work to have more impact by reaching the people who may wish to use it.

Employer-Supported Volunteering
For my PhD, my research focus is employer-supported volunteering (ESV), which is when paid employees are supported, encouraged or otherwise enabled by their employer to volunteer outside of their organisation, to the benefit of volunteer-receiving organisations in their community.

I have recently completed a scoping review of the employer-supported volunteering literature to understand how this topic has been researched to date, what is already known about the concept, and where there are gaps where more research is needed. This is currently being written up for publication in a journal, and I will share a link once it has been published.

I have also produced a short, practitioner-focused summary of my scoping review findings (available to download for free, below), which may be of interest to individuals who involved in any way in organising ESV.
